The U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of West Virginia, Michael T. Baylous, has announced he will retire next week.
Baylous has served in the role since 2018, focusing on strengthening partnerships between the U.S. Marshals Service, local law enforcement, and communities across the state.
In a statement, Baylous is a former West Virginia State Trooper and U.S. Marine. His last day with the U.S. Marshals Service will be February 8.
