Local Girl Scouts visit the State Capitol

More than 100 Girl Scouts visited the West Virginia State Capitol Friday for Girl Scout Day at the Legislature.

The 105 scouts, representing the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council, toured the Capitol, completed civic engagement badge activities and met with state lawmakers.

Four scouts were also recognized for being selected to attend the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York City. They’ll meet with international leaders and activists to discuss issues affecting women and girls around the world.
