A young Raleigh County artist has won the design contest for West Virginia’s “I Voted!” stickers for the upcoming primary election. Reese Childers, an eighth-grader at Shady Spring Middle School, was chosen from over 1,000 entries from 42 counties.
After four regional winners were selected, nearly 16,000 public votes determined the final design. Childers was honored in Charleston with a plaque, and her artwork will appear on stickers given to Raleigh County voters on May 12.
