Several Putnam County Establishments Cited for Selling Alcohol to Minors

Bartenders or sales clerks at 10 Putnam County establishments were cited for making underage alcohol sales. The West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office conducted compliance checks Saturday, Jan. 11. The sheriff’s office said out of 52 establishments, 10 of them sold to someone underage. Businesses visited during the compliance checks were in Hurrican, Scott Depot, Winfield, Teays Valley, Nitro, Poca, Buffalo, Eleanor, and Red House.
