Kanawha County deputies said a man faces multiple charges after he fled during an attempted traffic stop and admitted to “shooting up” before driving the vehicle. Robert Hicks of Belle was arrested after a pursuit on Witcher Creek Road in Belle. Deputies said they saw a pickup truck with a defective muffler and brake light and a license plate not assigned to the vehicle. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver pulled into a driveway, drove through a yard and fled up Witcher Creek. Hicks was eventually taken into custody and is being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
