Deputies have released the name of the person killed in an accident Tuesday on U.S. 35 near state Route 2 in the Point Pleasant area. A tractor-trailer went off the bridge and exploded near the 3 mile intersection, and the Mason County Sheriff’s Office said the truck’s operator, Yasin Bey of Baskerville, Virginia was killed. The WV Department of Highways inspected the bridge for structural damage, and the Mason County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
