West Virginia Division of Highways crews have been working to clean up flooding and rockslides in many areas, including a major slide along U.S. 52 and Fairview Addition in Williamson. The state Department of Transportation said the roadway near Stewarts Drive-Inn on West 3rd Avenue in Mingo County was closed Wednesday and finally cleared Thursday. They’re sending the reminder to drivers to be alert, slow down and to never drive through standing water.
