Five local women were honored Friday by YWCA Charleston for the work they’ve done in their communities and beyond. Michelle Foster, Amy Shuler Goodwin, Sandra M. Murphy, Morgan Rhea Beals and Deborah R. Harris were the 2020 Women of Achievement Honorees at the annual ceremony at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center. Proceeds from the event support YWCA Charleston initiatives and the program’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. YWCA Women of Achievement is the Kanawha Valley’s longest-running event devoted solely to recognizing the accomplishments and contributions made by women in the community.
