Barboursville City Park will be transformed into a battlefield in May as the city’s Civil War Days returns. The annual event, scheduled for May 1-3, gives visitors a chance to interact with living history characters and observe what it was like to live during the Civil War era. The Civil War Days will feature reenactors, merchants and exhibitors from around the region as they commemorate two battles that occurred in Barboursville – one on July 13, 1861, and the other on Sept. 8, 1862.
