Suddenlink to Close Town Center Store

Suddenlink customers will no longer be able to get service at the company’s store at Charleston Town Center. Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper said that the cable company’s store at the mall will be closing by the end of the month. Employees at the mall’s Suddenlink store will be transferred to the company’s locations in Kanawha City in Charleston or Scott Depot in Putnam County. Two anchor stores, Macy’s and Sears, previously closed, leaving JCPenney as the sole anchor store. Recently, officials announced that the Kanawha County Public Library will temporarily locate operations from its downtown Charleston location to the second floor of the mall while the downtown library undergoes a more than $30-million renovation.
