The Indiana Supreme Court ruled against West Virginia Delegate Eric Porterfield in a lawsuit over a 2006 parking lot fight that blinded him. Porterfield claimed that the bar where it happened had an obligation to protect its patrons inside and outside of the establishment, but the Court disagreed. Porterfield was elected to the House of Delegates in 2018.
