Boy Scouts place flags on veteran’s graves

In preparation for Memorial Day, boy scount and volunteers placed American flags in front of each grave at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar. More than 15-hundred flags were placed throughout the cemetery ahead of today’s services that start at noon.

WV vet’s neame added to Vietnam Memorial

The name of a Clarksburg veteran will be added to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall today in Washington D.C. Marine Corps PFC Larry Tenda suffered serious injuries from a grenade explosion in Vietnam in 1969. He was sent back to the U.S. and died at the Clarksburg VA months later.

Man stabbed in robbery

A man is recovering from stab wounds after he was forced to withdraw cash from an ATM at gunpoint in Jackson County. The suspect’s vehicle was spotted in Fairplain, where he was taken into custody.

Horance Mann Middle School video will not be made public

The Kanawha County School Board says video from a Horace Mann Middle School classroom that shows special needs students being abused, will not be released to the public. A teacher and two aides are facing charges. The school district says state law prohibits the release of footage involving a student to the public.

Charlston Will Host Several Events This Summer

A man was indicted Friday in a case where officers said he shot another man in Huntington. Alonzo Dewayne Harden is charged with attempted first-degree murder, malicious assault and use or presentation of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
