Floyd County deputies are looking for an escaped inmate. Twenty-two-year-old Jason Estep walked out of a hospital in Prestonsburg. He stole a vehicle and was last seen heading toward U.S. 23. Police have located the vehicle, but Estep is still on the run.

Marshall University held its first in-person graduation in more than a year over the weekend. More than one thousand graduates were part of the ceremony Saturday at Joan C. Kanawha County health officials said the county’s death total related to COVID-19 has been reduced by 20 after a statewide review of death certificates.
