Huntington putting a stop to illegal bars

The Huntington City Council is considering two ordinances to put a stop to illegal bars. The city attorney says there has been a surge of businesses opening as “game rooms,” in an effort to circumvent the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration and city requirements for bars.

COVID-19 cases on the rise

There are almost three-hundred new cases of COVID-19, and 75-hundred active cases of the virus in West Virginia. That’s the highest number of cases since late February, and Governor Justice says, we can’t let down our guard. More than 460-thousand West Virginians are fully vaccinated.

An Alkol homeowner came face-to-face with a naked man trying to break into his home and two o’clock in the morning. The homeowner shot the suspect in the shoulder. He’s in stable condition. No charges are being filed against homeowner.
