COVID-19 alert map no longer needed

The state’s color coded COVID-19 map is being discontinued. The map has been used for months to measure the infection rate of the virus, but Governor Justice says most teachers and school employees are vaccinated, and the map is no longer needed.

Head falls off Mother Goose Inn

The head fell off Hazard’s iconic Mother Goose Inn. The building is in decay and was damaged during the ice storms. Holes in the roof caused the wooden beams to decay. The crash damaged the front door and shattered part of the goose’s eye. No one was hurt.
