WV Scholar Program open for applications

The 14th annual West Virginia Scholar Program is now open for applications. West Virginia high school juniors are eligible to apply for the full-ride, four-year college scholarship. Juniors have until April 30th to submit their application, for the scholarship valued at nearly 160-thousand dollars.

No “red” on COVID-19 alert map

There is no red on the COIVD-19 alert map for the second day in a row. Twelve counties are now in the green. There are less than three-hundred-twenty patients in the hospital. That’s the lowest number since November.

WV surpasses 100% vaccine administration rate

West Virginia is the only state in the nation to achieve an overall vaccine administration rate over 100 percent for both first and second round vaccine doses combined. Governor Jim Justice called it a “monstrous achievement.” More than 390-thousand people have received the vaccine.
