WV senators split vote on Trump impeachment

The U.S. Senate voted to acquit former President Donald Trump of inciting the January 6th riots at the Capitol. West Virginia senators split their vote along party lines. Senator Joe Manchin voted to convict, and Senator Shelly Moore Capito voted not guilty.

Health insurance enrollment period starts Monday

A special health insurance enrollment period starts today for anyone who needs to purchase coverage, or is underserved by their current plan. The Biden administration ordered the special enrollment period for people in thirty-six states, including West Virginia. You have until May 15th to make any changes.

COVID-19 numbers decline

There is no red on West Virginia’s COVID-19 alert map. There are fifteen counties in the orange. Active cases of the virus are below twelve-thousand, and there are around three-hundred new cases of the virus. Almost 249-thousand West Virginians have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
