The WVU men’s basketball team had their three-game winning streak snapped by 91-to-90 double overtime loss to the Sooners…and the WVU women’s basketball team’s eleven-game winning was stopped by Oklahoma 72-to-71.

More than twenty-five dogs and cats were adopted over the weekend at a special adoption event in honor of fallen officer Cassie Johnson. A donation from the “Wives of CPD” helped make this event possible. Puppies were $50 off and dogs older than six months were free to adopt.

A Hurricane woman is pleading not guilty to charges accusing her of joining a riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. Gracyn Courtright was captured on cell phone video carrying a “members only” sign. She was arraigned in a Washington court last week.

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department administered a record number of COVID-19 vaccinations over the weekend. More than 54-hundred people received their first dose on Saturday.

Thousands of people are still without power and Appalachian Power is bringing in about four-hundred extra crews from out of state to help restore the power. More snow and ice is expected this morning.
