Nurses in Huntington Agree to a New Contract

Nurses and nurse practitioners with Cabell Huntington Hospital overwhelmingly approved a three-year contract agreement with hospital executives Friday. The contract is expected to provide job security and boost care, wages and benefits. The contract agreement affects nearly 1,000 registered nurses at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

One Thousand Vaccines Were Administered at Saturday’s Clinic

State Treasurer John Perdue is out after 24-years in office. Purdue says he’s proud of his time as the state’s treasurer. He modernized the office, returned a fortune in unclaimed property to its rightful owners and developed a three-billion-dollar education fund. City Council amending needle exchange ordinance

Charleston City Council is drafting an amendment to its needle exchange ordinance. Coal mining deaths down 6 years in a row

The number of deaths from coal mining accidents remained low in 2020. The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration says there were twenty-nine deaths in the country, with only five coming during coal mining activity. Two of those five deaths were in West Virginia. It’s the sixth straight year that mining deaths were under thirty.

WV PSC enters orders in Frontier bankruptcy case
