Charleston police say the grassroots harm reduction group “SOAR” will not face any criminal charges after an investigation into its needle exchange program. Both city and county attorney’s determined there was no violation of the law. City council will consider making changes to the needle exchange ordinance.

Suspended bus drivers cleared of wrongdoing

Two West Virginia school bus drivers who were suspended for attending the rally in Washington D.C. last week have been cleared of any wrongdoing. Their attorney says the walked to the Capitol and remained in an area designated for public occupation, and did not participate in an illegal activity.

Sissonville shooting under investigation

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in Sissonville. A man was standing outside near the Pine Valley Trailer Park when shots were fired from a vehicle. He was hit at least once and is being treated at a local hospital. The victim identified the shooter and police are looking for the suspect.

Teachers union filing injuction against WV BOE
