Charleston police say the grassroots harm reduction group “SOAR” will not face any criminal charges after an investigation into its needle exchange program. Both city and county attorney’s determined there was no violation of the law. City council will consider making changes to the needle exchange ordinance.

Huntington police are investigating after a 23-year-old man was found dead inside a 6th Avenue home. Detectives are calling it a homicide investigation. No arrests have been made.
Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in Sissonville. A man was standing outside near the Pine Valley Trailer Park when shots were fired from a vehicle. He was hit at least once and is being treated at a local hospital. The victim identified the shooter and police are looking for the suspect.
