A man accused of shooting two people in the Sheetz parking lot in Cross Lanes has been released from the hospital and booked into jail. Twenty-three-year-old David Rogers is charged with wanton endangerment. One of the victims died and the other is being treated a CAMC General Hospital.

On Jan. 2, 2006, an Upshur County mine collapsed after a lightning strike in the area and caused an explosion and thirteen miners were trapped inside. The first babies of 2021 in Logan County were twins. Kian Lee Mullins and Kingston Lee Mullins were born January 1st at Logan Regional Medical Center. Mom and babies are doing well, and sent thanks to the staff for making it a special experience.

A Charleston man is being treated for second degree burns and smoke inhalation at Pittsburgh hospital after a house fire on Ruffner Avenue. Firefighters pulled the man out of the house. He was found conscious by the front door.
Huntington police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital. Police responded to shots fired on 25th Street. The extent of the victim’s injuries are unknown at this time. So far, no arrests have been made.
