Babysitter sentenced to 100 years in prison

a Preston County woaman will spend 100 years in prision for the death of a thirteen-month-old girl. A jury found 24-year-old Kelly Tusing guilty of shaking or hitting a toddler she was babysitting. The little girl was taken to the hospital and deid eight days later. Tusing’s lawyer says they will appeal the sentence.

Brush fire burns Belle hillside

The Belle Fire Department responded to a brush fire near Midland Avenue and Hastings Drive. No one was hurt, and no structures were threatened. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

WV still has Cares Act funding to spend

West Virginia still has around 730-million-dollars in Cares Act funding to spend. Congress is allowing the funds to carry over into next year. Three-hundred-million is reserved to payback the state unemployment trust fund, and the rest will be used at the descretion of the governor and legislature.

Fugitive arrested in Clarksburg

A fugitive is under arrest for shooting a Pennsylvania police officer. The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force captured Koby Francis at an apartment complex in Clarksburg. He’s charged with aggravated assault and attempted homicide.
