Nonprofits Benefit From Mask Donations

The City of Charleston and Kanawha County Commission recently gave cloth face coverings to local non-profits that do outreach work throughout Kanawha County. Organizations like the Kanawha Valley Collective, United Way of Central West Virginia and WV Health Right shared the donation of around 2,000 masks, and they’re distributing those over the next few weeks.

Lincoln County Courthouse Remains Closed

The Lincoln County courthouse is closing for at least two weeks after employees from two offices were possibly exposed to the coronavirus. Governor Justice says West Virginians are already taking COVID-19 precautions, and he doesn’t think that more government action would be effective ins slowing the spread of the virus. There are over a thousand new cases of the virus, and three more people have died. The daily positive test rate is over seven percent.
