Over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases in WV

There are over one-thousand new cases of COVID-19 in West Virginia, and eleven more people have died. Three more counties moved into the red on the state’s COVID-19 alert map. Thirty-three counties are in the red, orange, or gold.

Family displaced after South Charleston house fire

A family is displaced after a house fire in South Charleston. The blaze started on the back porch of the home on Ohio Street, and was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. Everyone made it out safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Two Face Charges in Missing Teen’s Death

West Virginia State Police in Beckley said the search for a missing Oak Hill teen has become a homicide investigation and two suspects have been charged. West Virginia Crosses 50,000 Mark for COVID Cases

Eleven more COVID-19 deaths were reported in the Mountain State Thursday morning and the state has now hit the 50,000 mark for positive cases since the start of the pandemic. Health officials said the state has a total of 789 deaths related to the virus. There are 17,428 active cases in the state.
