A woman is recovering in the hospital after she was shot in the head by her husband. The pair got into a fight over an alleged affair when the shooting happened. The husband is under arrest and charged with malicious wounding.
A Huntington man is pleading guilty to attacking and robbing the owner of G.D. Ritzy’s in April 2018. Fifty-one-year-old Aaron Ingram will spend fifty-years in prison for robbery and attempted murder. The owner, Sidney Torlone, was severely injured after being struck in the head several times.
A Charleston police officer is in stable condition after she was shot while responding to a parking complaint on Garrison Avenue. The officer returned fire and shot the suspect, who suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The Kanawha County Commission approved a supplemental allowance and a one-time pay increase for county workers on Tuesday. The West Virginia Black Bear will transition to the new MLB Draft League. The wood bat league will include five teams from West Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The teams will be made up of draft eligible players who will play a 68-game season, with a mid-season MLB Draft.
