The WVU men’s basketball season tips off tonight against South Dakota State in the quarterfinals of the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

A three-year-old boy died and a woman was hurt in an apartment fire near the community of Man. One apartment was fully engulfed and quickly spread, destroying eight apartments. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Police are investigating after shots were fired between two vehicles on Walnut Valley Drive in Cross Lanes. No one was hurt. Police are looking for several suspects.

A Kanawha County judge accepted a plea deal from Arthur Woods, who’s charged in the death of his wife. She’s been missing since 2016. Woods pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, and will serve three years in prison.

Fire destroyed a trailer on Upper Molly’s Branch Road in Alum Creek. No one was hurt. The trailer was believed to vacant. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
