Pursuit Reaches Speeds of 75 mph in a 30 mph Zone

A Kanawha County Sheriff’s Deputy noticed a vehicle that had been reported stolen, and that led to an arrest. The deputy spotted the vehicle on Saturday on I-77 near Cabin Creek and turned around to catch up with it. A Capital jet Center employee tested positive for COVID-19. Yeager Airport officials say the risk to traveler is low, and the airport has been sanitized. The country’s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, says he’s worried that Thanksgiving travelers, crowding airports, could lead to a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Six WV counties in “red”

Six West Virginia counties are in the red, and thirteen are in the orange on the latest Department of Education map. Jackson, Wood, Marshall, Mineral, Hardy and Berkeley all remained red.
