Gov. Justice has no plans for shutdown

Governor Justice says he has no plans to shut down anything in the state. He says the only thing that would lead West Virginia to a shutdown is hundreds of people a day dying of the virus. He says, if that happens, then it would be the people calling for a shutdown, not the government.

Upshur County Schools are moving to remote learning until January due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in the county, creating staffing issues. Governor Justice has called for all schools in the state to go online for three days after Thanksgiving to slow down the spread of the coronavirus.

Charleston firefighter accidentally shoots himself

A Charleston firefighter is recovering after accidentally shot himself in the leg. It happened at Fire Station number-seven on Cora Street. The firefighter was trying to secure his personal firearm in his locker when it went off. He was treated at the hospital and discharged.

WV man accused in conspiracy against the U.S. government

A Ranson man is accused in a cospiracy against the U.S. government and with selling machine gun conversion devices online to followers of a far-right extremist movement. Thirty-year-old Timothy Watson is facing federal charges, and if convicted, could be sentenced to 35 years in prison.

On-duty Firefighter Accidentally Shoots Himself

A Charleston firefighter accidentally shot himself in the leg Tuesday night while he was on duty. It happened just after 11:30 p.m. outside of Charleston Fire Department #7 on Cora Street, according to Metro 911. Charleston city officials are looking into it.

Nitro Plans Improvements For Its Pool
