Charleston Police announce a DUI checkpoint planned for Friday night

Charleston Police will conduct a DUI and child safety seat checkpoint this evening. The Charleston Police Department said in a news release that the checkpoints will happen tonight in the area of MacCorkle Avenue and Rt. 119. Officers will operate the checkpoint from 6 p.m. to midnight in conjunction with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.
