News Staff Frontier crews are working to restore phone and internet service after more than two-thousand pairs of copper wire were stolen in Hurricane. The phones have been out at City Hall for several days. The copper wire is worth about five-thousand-dollars. No arrests have been made.
Huntington police are investigating after two people were stabbed on Sixth Avenue. Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. A third person of interest was arrested on unrelated warrants.
A Detroit man is under arrest for shooting at parked cars along Sixth Avenue in Huntington. A woman was sitting in one of the cars, but she wasn’t hurt. Thirty-seven-year-old Darryl Hill is charged with wanton endangerment and several counts of destruction of property.
Long lines stretched around the block outside the Kanawha County Voter Registration Office as voters turned out in large numbers for the first day of early voting. Almost 18-hundred people cast their ballots.

Nearly three-thousand people were killed nationwide as a result of distracted driving. Fourteen people died on West Virginia roads.
