Four people are under arrest after Huntington police found 250-thousand-dollars’ worth of marijuana and hash at a home on Harvey Road.

A Charleston attorney says over ten more deaths at the Clarksburg VA may be linked to convicted killer Reta Mays. The former nursing assistant pleaded guilty in July in connection to seven deaths. Six families have settled wrongful death lawsuits out of court.

East Bank Middle School in Kanawha County is closed today due to COVID-19. All practices are canceled, and classes are being held remotely.

Dozens of people are being asked to quarantine at four different Cabell County Schools due to possible exposure to COVID-19. Contact tracing is under way at Huntington High School, Southside Elementary, Huntington Middle School, and Cabell Midland High School. All four schools are open and are on blended learning schedules.

Firefighters responded to two fires early Monday morning on the West Side near St. Albans. The fires were reported about 1:15 a.m. in the 300 block of West Main Street. Firefighters said both structures were abandoned and there were no injuries. The causes of the fires are under investigation.

Kanawha County switched from gold back to yellow and Mingo County was in the red on Monday’s color-coded county alert map. Three more deaths related to coronavirus were reported Monday by the state Department of Health and Human Resources. A 79-year-old man from Kanawha County, an 84-year-old woman from Boone County and a 90-year-old woman from Kanawha County passed away from the virus. There are 4,578 active cases in the state right now.
