Georgia man wanted after police chase

A Georgia man is on the run after an attempted traffic stop in the Belle Area. Thirty-year-old Eric Nelson led police on a chase, and after crashing his vehicle he ran into the woods. The search was called off after dark.

WV National Guard increasing response to COVID-19

FEMA has approved the West Virginia National Guard’s request to increase the number of personnel responding to the pandemic. Four-hundred Guard members are now part of the response, and the federal government will reimburse the National Guard for 75-percent of the cost.
