A Fayette County man is facing an attempted murder charge for pushing a woman out of a vehicle during an argument. Police say she may have been hit by a car and suffered serious injuries.

A Georgia man is on the run after an attempted traffic stop in the Belle Area. Thirty-year-old Eric Nelson led police on a chase, and after crashing his vehicle he ran into the woods. The search was called off after dark.

Weekend construction on the I-64 Eugene A. Carter Memorial Bridge may cause some delays this weekend. FEMA has approved the West Virginia National Guard’s request to increase the number of personnel responding to the pandemic. Four-hundred Guard members are now part of the response, and the federal government will reimburse the National Guard for 75-percent of the cost.
