West Virginia State Police say a landowner found human remains on his property Sunday in Wayne County. The remains were located on Defoe Road off German Ridge near Huntington. The FBI has taken over the investigation, and State Police are assisting.

Appalachian Power asks for rate hike

Appalachian Power is asking for a rate increase. The average residential customers monthly bill would go up nearly eleven-percent, or almost 14-dollars-per-month. The Public Service Commission still has to sign off on the request.

City of Charleston could switch to PEIA

Governor signs “Born Alive” bill

Governor Justice signed the “born alive” abortion bill. The new law will penalize physicians who don’t provide medical care for a child born after an abortion. The law is largely symbolic since state law prohibits abortions after twenty-weeks.
