News Staff The City of Madison announced the death of its mayor Saturday morning. The city said on its Facebook page that Madison Mayor H.H. “Sonny” Howell Jr. passed away about 5 a.m. Howell served as Madison’s mayor since 2005. He was 81 years old. Funeral service plans are pending.
