Loaded handgun found at Yeager Airport

TSA agents founded a loaded 9mm handgun in a carryon bag at Yeager Airport. A Huntington man was detained for questioning and cited on weapons charges. The man said he forgot he had the gun with him.

A website has been created to help West Virginia residents know what they need to bring to a regional state Division of Motor Vehicles’ office to obtain a REAL ID compliant driver’s license or identification card. The website, www.go.wv.gov/realid, features an interactive checklist, frequently asked questions and a countdown to the Oct. 1 deadline.

Changes Could Come to Hunting and Fishing Regulations

West Virginia wildlife officials have proposed 16 changes to the state’s hunting and fishing regulations. The Gazette-Mail reported the Division of Natural Resources proposals include lengthening the spring turkey-hunting season, changing smallmouth-bass fishing regulations along the New River, expanding nighttime hunting for coyotes and imposing a creel limit on panfish.
