WV House approves investment fund

The state House of Delegates passed a bill that would create a sovereign investment fund for West Virginia. The bill would establish a “Mountaineer Impact Fund,” so the state could serve as an official partner in investment deals. The money would come from private investors, with little or no public money involved.

More federal funding approved for flood victims

President Trump approved Governor Justice’s request to increase federal funding to help victims of the 2016 flood. The funds will allow the Federal Emergency Management Agency to reimburse West Virginia 90% of eligible costs of emergency expenses, debris removal and infrastructure repair.
