Body of missing kayaker found

The body of Jamie Gray, a kayaker who went missing over a week ago, has been recovered about a mile-and-a-half from where she was last seen. Gray was on a kayaking excursion with a group of kayakers on the Middle Fork River.

Escaped Inmate is Arrested

An escaped inmate has been captured. Roger Lee Yeager escaped from a work-release at Charleston Correctional Center Saturday evening and he was arrested Sunday morning just before 7:30. Plans are in place for a wheelchair-accessible playground at Kanawha State Forest in Charleston. Bill that would give raises to judges clears the Senate

The West Virginia Senate has passed a bill to give pay raises to judges statewide. The bill passed on a 29-3 vote Monday. It now goes to the House of Delegates.
