West Virginia native and former reality TV star, Alexi Eddy, was found dead at her mother’s home in Mannington. The 23-year-old was open about her struggles with substance abuse. She was a contestant on the MTV reality show “Are You the One?”

Coal research facility coming to South Charleston

A new coal research facility is coming to West Virginia. Ramaco Carbon will research how to use coal to create advanced carbon products and materials. The company is moving into a pre-existing lab at the West Virginia Technology Park in South Charleston.

Lawmakers questioning Governor’s budget proposal

West Virginia lawmakers are already asking questions about Governor Justice’s proposed budget for 2020-2021. The administration expects to have a Medicaid surplus of over 300-million-dollars, and using some of that money to bridge the gap of over 100-million-dollars in general revenue.

CAMC limiting visitors due to incrased flu activity

Charleston Area Medical Center is asking you to limit visiting friends and family in the hospital due to increased flu activity. The hospitals request no more than two visitors per patient at any time, and that if you are not feeling well, you should not visit.

Bank robbery suspect wanted

Ashland police are looking for a bank robber who robbed the PNC Ban on Blackburn Avenue. Investigators recovered a stolen white panel van used in the robbery, but are still looking for a suspect.

Burglary suspect under arrest

A suspect is under arrest for a burglary in Putnam County. Thirty-four-year-old Chad McDonald is accused of running from police and dragging an officer down some steps. He’s charged with fleeing and battery on an officer.

Gordman’s Stores to Open March 3

West Virginia will be opening nine Gordmans stores in 2020. The apparel and home décor retailer will open locations in St. Albans, Buckhannon, Elkins, Grafton, Lewisburg, Logan, Moundsville, New Martinsville and Summersville.
