News Staff Tim Armstead is the new chief justice of the state Supreme Court. He was chosen by his fellow justices last fall. Armstead will work with lawmakers on the Court’s budget for next fiscal year. It’s the first budget since a Constitutional amendment gave oversight to the legislature.

Charleston police have arrested a person of interest in the shooting death of a teenager. Twenty-three-year-old Qynell Bradshaw was taken into custody during a traffic stop. Bradshaw is the ex-boyfriend of 18-year-old Laurina Blake who was found dead on November 30th.
