Charleston officials take exception to President’s remarks

Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin, and other local officials, are taking exception to President Trump’s remarks that West Virginia doesn’t need federal resources. They sent a letter to Senators Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito asking for federal help, and that those resources are needed now.

Clendenin Health Center using triage tent

The Clendenin Health Center is using a triage tent in their parking lot to screen patients for COVID-19 symptoms before going into the clinic. Symptoms include an over 100-degree fever, shortness of breath, or a dry cough, or if you’ve been to an area where you could have been exposed to the virus.

WV confirms first case of coronavirus

West Virginia’s first confirmed case of the coronavirus is in the Eastern Panhandle. The patient did not need to be hospitalized, and is self-quarantined at home. Governor Justice is closing restaurants, bars, and casinos. Restaurants will still be able to offer take-out and delivery.

DMV Limits the Number of People in its Offices

The West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles is limiting the number of customers permitted in regional offices at the same time.
