A Clarksburg man is accused of stealing an ambulance and crashing it into United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. An EMT was in the back of the ambulance when she heard someone get in. She got out to see what was going on, and 55-year-old Anthony Grooms drove off and crashed the ambulance into the hospital. … Read more
A Huntington man is charged with murder and arson for killing his aunt and setting her house on fire in an attempt to destroy evidence. Thirty-year-old Joshua Hatten turned himself in and admitted to killing 75-year-old Theresa Wilson.
An inmate has been sentenced for walking away from the prison in Alderson. Fifty-five-year-old Linda Avila escaped last January and was immediately captured. She was sentenced to four-months for escape. She was already serving a 12-year sentence for conspiracy and mail fraud.
Police are investigating a robbery at Ashton Place shopping Center. The victim was walking to his car when a man pressed a gun into his back and demanded money. The suspect is described as a white man wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
