News Staff A two-year-old Elkview boy is dead after accidentally shooting himself. The boy got ahold of an unsecured pistol in a bedroom of his Deer Run Road home. The boy’s mother and four-year-old sibling were also in the house. An investigation is ongoing.
Residents of a Roane County neighborhood are back in their homes after gas leak. Several houses were evacuated earlier in the day when emergency crews responded to a leak in a nearly one-hundred-year-old gas line on Speed Road. Repairs have been made.
