Confederate monument removed from Charleston park

The City of Charleston removed a plaque from Ruffner Memorial Park that had ties to the Daughters of Confederacy. Mayor Goodwin said the plaque “needed to be taken out.” It was part of the Kanawha Riflemen Monument that was dedicated in 1922.

Loaded Gun Found at Yeager Airport Checkpoint
