A police pursuit ended when a man crashed his car into a Huntington pizza place. Twenty-four-year-old Tanner Miller took off when police tried to stop him for outstanding warrants. He crashed into Husson’s Pizza at Fourth Avenue and Hal Greer Boulevard. No one was hurt.

A burglary suspect tried to barricade himself in a home in the Paige area. When officers entered the house, 43-year-old Ronnie Owens Jr tried to resist arrest. He’s charged with burglary, and obstruction and battery on a law enforcement officer.
A police chase ended when an SUV crashed into a house in Huntington. Police tried to make a traffic stop on Norwood Road when the driver took off and then hit a house on Park Street. The driver and two passengers are under arrest. No one was hurt.

The Save A Lot grocery store on Virginia Street West in Charleston has closed for good. The company’s director of communications said the decision was made by independent operators, but did not provide more details. Save A Lot is a discounted supermarket chain and the Charleston location closed December 28.
A Charleston man has been cited after the Transportation Security Administration at Yeager Airport found a handgun Sunday in his carry-on bag.
