A Sandyville man is under arrest after police found materials for making a pipe bomb, drugs, and a stolen gun and vehicle when they served a search warrant at his Greenhills Road home. Forty-three-year-old Robbie Wolfe is charged possession with intent to deliver meth. More charges are pending.
One man is under arrest, and police are looking for a second suspect in the burglary of a home on Edgewood Drive. Thirty-three-year-old Richard Greene is charged with daytime burglary. Some stolen property was recovered.
Several dozen people gathered around the mall entrance on Court Street for the honorary name change of Court Street to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The honorary name change comes after months of hearings, meetings, and ultimately, the compromise to add Dr. King’s name to Court Street rather than replace it.

The Kanawha County Board of Health approved an indoor vaping ordinance. The ban treats e-cigarettes like cigarettes, and prohibits them in public places like restaurants and stores. The Cabell-Huntington Board of Health will host a public hearing on a similar ordinance this week.
