Gas prices are falling in West Virginia. The AAA Fuel Gauge shows the average price for a gallon of gasoline is $2.30, that’s down from $2.40 during the same time period last month.
A third possible case of COVID-19 in West Virginia has come back negative. Two other cases came back negative earlier this week. There are no confirmed cases of the virus in the state. There are over a thousand cases in the United States, and more than thirty people have died.
Three students at Shawnee State University may have been exposed to the coronavirus, and at least twenty people are in self quarantine. The students started showing symptoms after traveling abroad. Test results are expected by Friday.
West Virginia University is moving to online classes only after spring break in response to the coronavirus. Spring break will be extended a week, and online classes will begin March 30th. Students are being advised to stay away from campus until the university determines it is safe to return.

A Morgantown man threatened his wife at gunpoint, and then barricaded himself in their Morgantown home. The woman was able to get out. Thirty-seven-year-old Christopher Phillips was arrested following a three-hour standoff.
Two people were hurt in a shooting on Topping Hill Road, just outside of Huntington. Both victims are hospitalized in unknown condition. The shooter, 39-year-old Robert Taylor, is under arrest.
