Marshall University is extending its ban on international travel through at least April 30th. The school is urging students and faculty who have international travel plans for spring break to reconsider. HerdCon, which was scheduled for Saturday, has also been canceled out of an abudance of caution.

Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin’s budget proposal is raising concerns with city employees over a possible switch to PEIA insurance. The budget calls for an across the board two-thousand-dollar salary increase and savings in healthcare costs. City Council will vote on the budget next week.

Police are looking for two women involved in an identity theft ring. They tried to cash stolen checks at a South Charleston ATM. The checks were stolen from a vehicle on Route 60.
Several fire crews responded to an abandoned mobile home fire in Clay County. No one was inside. The mobile was destroyed in the fire and spread to some brush. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
