The West Virginia girl and boys high school basketball tournaments start tomorrow at the Charleston Coliseum. The girl’s tournament runs through Saturday, and the boys play next week.

Marshall University is extending its ban on international travel through at least April 30th. The school is urging students and faculty who have international travel plans for spring break to reconsider. HerdCon, which was scheduled for Saturday, has also been canceled out of an abudance of caution.

There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in West Virginia, but surrounding states are confirming several cases of COVID-19. DHHR has created a hotline to get answers to questions about the virus at 1-800-887-4304.

Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin’s budget proposal is raising concerns with city employees over a possible switch to PEIA insurance. The budget calls for an across the board two-thousand-dollar salary increase and savings in healthcare costs. City Council will vote on the budget next week.

You can ski and snowboard for free this weekend at two state resorts. You’ll have to show proof that you are a West Virginia resident and you can ski for free this Sunday and Canaan Valley and Winterplace.

Police are looking for two women involved in an identity theft ring. They tried to cash stolen checks at a South Charleston ATM. The checks were stolen from a vehicle on Route 60.

Several fire crews responded to an abandoned mobile home fire in Clay County. No one was inside. The mobile was destroyed in the fire and spread to some brush. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A group of protestors at the TC Energy building is facing trespassing charges. Appalachians Against Pipelines, were told they could protest lawfully, but once they made their way into the building they were told to leave immediately.
