Elderly woman dies in Huntington fire

An elderly woman died Monday afternoon in a Huntington house fire, investigators said. The blaze was reported about 1:30 p.m. in Fern Court, according to Huntington Fire Department Chief Greg Fuller. Fuller said firefighters were met with heavy smoke and flames upon arrival. The city fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
