Nine people vying for vacant state Supreme Court seat

Nine lawyers, circuit judges, and prosecutors are applying to fill a vacant position on the state Supreme Court. The Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission will interview the applicants and submit name to Governor Justice for his final decision. Justice Evan Jenkins announced he was leaving the court in February.

WV exports second highest in the U.S.

Governor Justice says West Virginia reached the second-highest export growth rate in the country. The state’s exports rose to over six-billion-dollars in 2021. That’s almost forty-percent higher than the previous year, and surpassed pre-pandemic export numbers.
