Pothole repair on MacCorkle Avenue

Potholes are being filled on MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City. The DOH says it is not a permanent fix. A streetscape project will pave MacCorkle from 33rd to 56th streets this summer. The goal is to fill the potholes by the end of May.

Two men sentenced for fraud in truck warranty scheme

A West Virginia man and a North Carolina man will spend six-years in prison for wire frauds. They’re accused of stealing over four-million-dollars in a truck warranty fraud scheme. Forty-six-year-old James Pinson of Wayne County owned a used car dealership in Kentucky.

Dunbar man sentenced to probation for defrauding non-profit

A Dunbar man will spend two years on federal probation and pay more than seventy-thousand-dollars in restitution for defrauding a Kanawha County nonprofit out of 130-thousand-dollars. Seventy-three-year-old Walter Greenhow used the organization’s debit card to get cash to use at roadside gaming parlors.
